The mission of Anderson County First Steps Partnership is to ensure that every child in Anderson County will enter first grade healthy and ready to succeed. This mission is accomplished by linking community resources to support pre-school children and their families. The Partnership currently contracts with all five Anderson County School Districts to provide programs and services for pre-school children and their families. The South Carolina Department of Education is providing parents with a free online resource, Supporting Early Literacy at Home: A Parents’ Guide, which provides information and strategies that will equip parents and caregivers with tools to support children from birth through the beginning years of school.
