DRESS CODE
Students and Parents,
This past school year, administration spent a great deal of energy addressing several dress code violations that were rather prevalent throughout the student body. We would like to bring to your attention some of these common dress code violations with the hope of avoiding issues during the 2024-2025 school year.
Shorts and skirts may be worn, but the length of the shorts/skirts must cover the upper thigh and buttocks area.
A shirt must not cover up the shorts as to appear that no lower garment is being worn.
Skin-tight shorts (e.g. biker shorts, spandex shorts) will not be allowed .
If a skirt has a slit, the slit may not expose the upper thigh and buttocks area.
Jeans or shorts with holes must not expose underwear or skin for the upper thigh or buttocks area.
Leggings/Jeggings/Tights/any form fitting pants may be worn but the midriff/waist area must not be exposed.
Leggings/Jeggings/Tights must not be see-through, show undergarments, nor be flesh colored.
The midriff, waist area, underarms, undergarments and/or cleavage should not be exposed.
The sleeves/straps of all shirts should be at least three fingers wide.
1st offense:
Dress code referral.
An attempt will be made to correct the dress code violation.
If the violation cannot be corrected, then the student will be sent to ISS for the remainder of the day.
Students who are late to class because of a dress code violation will receive an unexcused tardy.
Students who miss class due to a dress code violation will receive an unexcused absence.
2nd offense:
Dress code referral.
Sent immediately to ISS for the remainder of the day followed by one day of ISS.
A parent conference will be required.
Additional offenses:
Dress Code referral.
ISS/OSS determined by administration.
The Wren High School Dress Code is provided below as a reference. Please pay close attention to the consequence section of the dress code policy as we will be tightening up the dress code and enforcing consequences when necessary.
We greatly appreciate your consideration in this matter and look forward to a great school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact an administrator.
Thanks,
Wren High Administration
