STUDENT PARKING CONCERNS

Over the past few days, I have observed several cases of reckless driving in the parking lot which include driving too fast, spinning tires, revving engines, and cutting through parking spaces. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable and endangers the safety of others in the parking lot. Therefore, Deputy Burgess and I will be closely monitoring the parking lot at dismissal and will start issuing consequences for individuals displaying inappropriate driving in the parking lot. These consequences will include law enforcement charges and suspension of driving privileges to school. Please adhere to the following rules and procedures for the parking lot:

Speed limit in the parking lot is 10 MPH.

Reckless driving, speeding, using your car horn, spinning tires, loud music, or revving engines will not be tolerated.

Students should exit the parking lot through the designated lanes of traffic

Students should not cut through parking spots at any time

Students are required to buckle their seatbelts prior to leaving the parking lot.

No 9th grade student is allowed to drive to and from school

Please remember that driving to school is a privilege which will be revoked if students are unable to safely operate their vehicle in the parking lot. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Dr. Whitfield or Deputy Burgess.

PARKING PASSES

PLEASE NOTE: Starting IMMEDIATELY, if you have outstanding student fees, you will not be granted a parking pass until they are paid.

To acquire a Wren High School parking pass, students must pay their parking fee of $25 (all other school fees must be paid as well), and have the Wren High School parking form completed. Once you have both of these items, please bring them to the school office to be collected and signed. Once that has been done, you must take the signed form to Ms. Pam Rogers before school, during FLEX, at lunch, or after school to get your parking pass. If any of these steps have not been completed then you do not have the option to drive yourself to school and park.

**Wren High School parking decals will be handed out during the 1st week of school. Students will be notified via email when their parking decals are ready for pickup in study hall (Room 101).

***10th-12th graders interested in driving to the career center will need to contact CTC regarding registration and parking. Wren High School does not handle CTC parking passes.

****No 9th grader may drive to school or park on campus. Any 9th grader caught parking on campus will be subject to disciplinary action.

Parking Fees can be paid on RevTrack from the link below and is $25 for Sophomores and Juniors.

Senior parking spots are $40 and have the priority parking in the front numbered spots that they may paint to mark their unique space. Numbers are assigned by randomly drawing numbers on July 24th, 2024 from 9am-12pm. Please see the Senior information page for complete details.
