The Anderson School District One Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Brandon Koon has been named the next principal of Palmetto Elementary.
Koon has worked in Anderson One for more than two decades. He started as a teacher at Palmetto Elementary. Koon will now return to the school as principal after serving as assistant principal at Concrete Primary for 11 years.
“It has been a privilege to work with the Powdersville community during my time at Concrete,” said Koon. “I look forward to working with the students and faculty and serving the families of Palmetto Elementary.”
“Mr. Koon has been a tremendous asset to Anderson School District One throughout his 23 year career,” said incoming Superintendent Dr. Seth Young. “We are excited for him to have the opportunity to return to Palmetto Elementary School where he was a teacher. The best is yet to come for Palmetto Elementary under his leadership!”
Koon will take over his new role on July 1, 2024.
