The Anderson District 1 & 2 Adult Education Program was recently honored by the South Carolina Department of Education Office of Adult Education for its outstanding performance and success in helping students reach their career goals.
The program received four awards:
Adult Basic Education Performance Award
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Award
College and Career Readiness Award
Young Adult Program Award
Lauree Cole, Program Director, said students receive individualized learning plans based on an assessment identifying their strengths and weaknesses.
"It is truly an honor to do this job," said Cole. "We want to do it right and we want to do it for the success of the students."
