Powdersville, S.C. - Anderson School District One is proud to announce Brenna Horn as the future principal of Oak Hill Elementary. Horn is the current principal of Powdersville Elementary.
With over a decade of experience working at Powdersville Elementary, Horn has demonstrated a strong commitment to serving the students and families in the Powdersville community.
“Serving this community at Powdersville Elementary over the past decade has been a great honor,” said Horn. “I have always been impressed with this community's collaboration and support for our school. As I step into a new chapter in Anderson One and the Powdersville community, I feel blessed to work alongside our district leadership as we build a school and culture where students feel cared for and loved. I'm committed to fostering a supportive and successful environment to ensure we can empower excellence and serve in the capacity that prepares our students for college and career readiness."
“Mrs. Horn will help us continue the Tradition of Excellence expected in Anderson One and the Powdersville community as we prepare to open Oak Hill Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year,” said Superintendent Dr. Seth Young. “Her attention to detail, strong leadership, and ability to communicate her vision will help us create the next great school in Anderson District One.”
Before her current role, Horn was an assistant principal and a teacher at Powdersville Elementary. She graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and received her master’s degree in administration and supervision from Anderson University.
Oak Hill Elementary, located on Oak Road in Piedmont, is slated to open in the fall of 2026. It will serve students and families in the Powdersville area. Horn will transition to her new role on July 1, 2025.
