Anderson One names new principal of Powdersville Middle School

Powdersville, S.C. - The Anderson One Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Kevin Williams as the next principal of Powdersville Middle School, following the retirement of Todd Binnicker at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

Williams has been the assistant principal at Powdersville Middle School for six years.

“I am extremely excited and honored about this opportunity to lead Powdersville Middle School,” said Williams. “Thank you to Mr. Binnicker for giving me an opportunity to lead a long time ago and mentoring me over the years. I also want to thank Dr. Young and the entire district leadership team for their support as I step into this new role. I look forward to carrying on the Tradition of Excellence at Powdersville Middle School.”

With over 20 years in education, Williams has dedicated a majority of his career to serving students and families at Powdersville Middle School as a teacher and assistant principal. Prior to his current role, he held leadership positions as an assistant principal at Concrete Primary and Pickens Middle School. Before transitioning into administration, he also taught in Anderson School District 4 and Greenville County School District.

“No one understands the culture and expectations at Powdersville Middle School more than Mr. Williams,” said Superintendent Dr. Seth Young. “I have no doubt that he will not only maintain the Tradition of Excellence expected at Powdersville Middle, but under his leadership, it will be seen as one of the premier middle schools in South Carolina and even the southeast. I am excited about his vision for the future and look forward to the great things to come.”

Williams graduated from Clemson University and received his master’s degree in educational leadership from Arkansas State University. Williams’ wife, Ashley, is a teacher at Powdersville Elementary School and they have two children.
