High School Equivalency Diploma: GED Classes (HSED)
This program is for adults who have not completed the unit requirements for a high school diploma. Classes are provided to prepare students for the GED Exam. Classes are in person during the morning or evening sessions.
The High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) is earned in SC by passing all four subject areas of the General Educational Development (GED) test. This certification is an alternative to the South Carolina High School Diploma (HSD). Most employers and colleges require a diploma or its equivalent for employment, promotion, or admission. The HSED is accepted by all states, technical colleges, and some 4-year colleges and universities.
Anyone 17 years old or older, and not enrolled in any public or private school, who does not already have a high school diploma from an accredited school, can take the HSED test.

English as a Second Language Classes (ESL)
This is a non-certified program intended for adults whose native language is not English. It concentrates on teaching the student conversational English and the skills needed to function in day-to-day life. This class will assist the learner in English speaking, listening, reading, and writing. An assessment is required upon enrollment to determine the level of English spoken.
Students from all nations are welcome and attend the same class meetings. It is not uncommon to have speakers of several languages in the class at the same time.
Courses are semester-based. Students can choose either fall (starting in August) or spring (starting in January) semester.
As with all of our programs, students must be at least 17 years of age and cannot currently be enrolled in high school.
