Congratulations to Ryan Norton, who received the Jessie Williams Little “Leading the Way” Award from Winthrop University! This award honors teachers who were outstanding mentor teachers to first year and student teachers. Last school year, Mr. Norton served that role as he mentored our then new teacher, Amelia Scales. Ms. Scales believed him deserving, wrote the nomination, and at last week's ceremony they learned he'd won the top award for the state! PVHS is truly blessed to have such great veteran teachers as Mr. Norton leading the way for up-and-coming star teachers like Ms. Scales.
