Congratulations to our 2025 Miss Powdersville, Kendall Bocchino!!

Congratulations to tonight’s Powdersville High Pageant Class winners: Belle Ouellette, Miss Senior; Caroline Sweet, Miss Junior, Ariyana Pearson, Miss Sophomore; and Aubree Blackston, Miss Freshman.

Tomorrow, Thursday, January 23, out of an abundance of caution, all schools in Anderson School District One will operate on a 2-hour delay.
We have been checking the roads throughout today, and unfortunately, we do have some icy spots on secondary road roads throughout the district. A delay allows all of us to wait until there is a little more daylight to navigate the roads in the morning. It will also help us to make sure the entrances to our schools are prepared to safely welcome our students back to school tomorrow.
School buses will arrive at bus stops approximately 2 hours after their normal pick-up times tomorrow morning.
The schedule is as follows:
Report to class: 9:50 - 10:00am
1st Block 10:00 - 10:55am
2nd Block 11:00 - 11:55am
Resume Normal Schedule 11:55am
Morning CTC will meet as follows…
Bus leaves at 9:45
CTC Tardy Bell at 10:30
CTC dismisses at 11:25

After consulting with Anderson County Emergency Management, there are several secondary roads and bridges in Anderson District One that are covered in snow and ice. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, Anderson School District One will have an eLearning Day on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
According to most weather forecasts for tomorrow, the temperature will not rise above freezing until after lunch, so roads that are unsafe will remain so until the temperatures warm up on Wednesday afternoon. We want to err on the side of caution and make sure students and staff are safe tomorrow morning.
Check Google Classroom for assignments. Students will have 5 days to complete their eLearning assignments. Teachers will be available to answer questions from 9:00-10:30 a.m. and 1:30-3:00 p.m. via Seesaw messenger, Google Classroom, or email.
Please stay warm and safe tomorrow. Thank you so much for your flexibility!! Hopefully, we will see everyone back at school on Thursday!

Meet our 2025 Miss Powdersville and Class Beauties Contestants! The Pageant is only a week away!! 🪩👑💐

That 3rd name down looks veeeeerrry familiar...congrats to Coach Brooke Passini who has been named a 2024-2025 Coach of the Year by the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association!! Leading the Volleyball team to their 4th State title might have a little to do with it, but we know Coach Passini is a leader on and off the court - her team respects her as a coach and awesome human. Congrats, Coach Passini!

Out of an abundance of caution, PVHS will begin school at 10am on Monday Jan 13th. All staff should be on campus by 9:40am. AM ACTC Students will not report to the Career Center. They will be in a Study Hall in the Commons.
The schedule is as follows:
Report to class: 9:50a-10:00am
1st Block 10:00a - 10:55am
2nd Block 11:00a-11:55am
Resume Normal Schedule 11:55am

Out of an abundance of caution, Friday, January 10 will be an eLearning Day for Anderson School District One. All extra curricular activities will be cancelled for Friday and Saturday due to the expected impacts from winter weather.

Sponsored by StuCo, our PVHS Winter Semi-Formal Dance will be Saturday, February 22, from 7:30-10:00pm in the PVHS Commons. We have 450 tickets which will go on sale in the library on Tuesday, January 21, for $20 each. First come, first served. PVHS students are allowed to bring outside guests as long as they are enrolled in another high school or home school association - grades 9-12, aged 14-18. Guests must complete a Guest Form before purchasing a ticket - pick up a copy in the library or click the link in our story. See Mrs. Chesney with questions.
Our Semi will be Sadie’s Style, which means girls ask the guys - for fun, if you want. Not required. Proceeds from Semi will go towards our Spirit Week charity, Rebuild Upstate. 🪩🤍🩷❤️🪩
