The PHS Varsity Concert Choir attended the South Carolina Choral Performance Assessment at Erskine College. They earned the highest rating of Superior (with distinction) for the first time in the history of choirs at Palmetto High School. 'With distinction' is awarded to groups who receive superior on the entirety of performed repertoire, in addition to a superior sight-reading score.
