Today, we officially welcomed our 3rd grade students into the Spearman House System! They were sorted into their forever houses: Altruismo (House of Givers), Amistad (House of Friendship), Isibindi (House of Courage), and Reveur (House of Dreamers).
Our K-2nd graders also had a blast discovering which house their classroom belongs to!
Here's to building a strong sense of community, culture and belonging throughout the school year! #RCAHouseSystem #Reveur #Amistad #Isibindi #Reveur

Spearman’s Spring Girls on the Run team ran their celebratory 5K this morning in Spartanburg! We are so proud of this team of strong, brave, and unstoppable 3rd-5th grade girls! They met
their goals and did not give up! Girl power!! 🩷🌟🏃♀️🏆💖

In 3rd grade they have been studying culture in social studies the past couple of weeks. To celebrate the end of their unit, Mrs. Ammons class, wanted to celebrate the cultures in their classroom! Students were asked to wear a clothing item, bring in an item, or bring in a food that represented their family and their culture. There was boiled peanuts, empanadas, and everything in between! It was such a fun day celebrating the differences and seeing the many different cultures that makes up our classroom family!

Thank you to all our amazing families for supporting our Chick-Fil-A biscuit fundraiser this morning! 🐔🥪 Together, we raised over $475 for the March of Dimes - what a fantastic achievement! Your generosity and partnership make a real difference.

Exciting Week at Spearman Elementary! 🌟
1st graders had a blast celebrating the 120th day of school with a Fancy and Fun Day! 🎉 Our school hosted 70 middle schoolers for a job shadowing day, and Kindergarten wowed us with a Starbooks writing/reading celebration. 📚 PTO Candy Grams were delivered, and our 4th graders showcased their creativity with a sound parade featuring handmade instruments made in STEM! During STEM, the students have been learning that all of the sounds they hear will be caused by vibrations. They’ve learned that sound travels to our ears by sound waves.🎶
