Congratulations to Paige Dillard, our Teacher of the Year, and Robyn Dorn, our Support Staff of the Year. These ladies really do exemplify the best of what Wren High School is and we are thankful to have them supporting our school. Please join us in congratulating them for all of their hard work this year!

Please join us in showing appreciation for our assistant principals at Wren High School. We truly could not do what we do here without them and they are the backbone of Wren High. If you see them, take a moment to tell them how much you appreciate their hard work and dedication to our school and community.

Wren High School is pleased to announce Braden Wilson as assistant principal for the 2025-2026 school year, pending board approval tomorrow, March 25th. Braden began her journey in education as a Teacher Cadet in high school and went on to become a Teaching Fellow at Anderson University, where she earned the title of 2014 Social Studies Teacher Candidate of the Year. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Social Studies Education in 2019, Braden earned a master’s degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University and a second master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Anderson University in 2023.
Braden has dedicated her career to serving students in the Upstate, most recently teaching social studies at Palmetto Middle School. Prior to joining Anderson One, she taught social studies at Greer High School and Southwood Academy of the Arts. In the classroom, she has taught a variety of history and social studies courses to middle and high school students, including psychology, sociology, government, economics, and law education.
Braden’s passion for students and tremendous success in the classroom led to her being named the 2025 South Carolina State Teacher of the Year, the first teacher to hold this honor in Anderson School District One. Braden has spent the past year traveling throughout South Carolina to speak to different schools, universities, prospective students, and businesses about her passion for education. We are excited to have Braden join our team and know that she will be a tremendous supporter of the teachers, students, and parents at Wren as we continue our strong tradition of excellence.
Braden grew up in Anderson, SC, where she graduated from Westside High School. Braden is married to Johnny and has two children, Calhoun and Harvey Mae.
Please join us in welcoming Braden to the Wren family.

Congratulations to Stan Yarborough for being selected as the 4A Region Athletic Director of the Year! Thank you for all you do for our coaches and athletes at Wren High School. We truly appreciate you!

Updated Details about eLearning:
As a reminder, days that are classified as eLearning are separate from inclement weather days. eLearning Days are not required to be made up at the end of the school year. Anderson One knows that the vast majority of our students and teachers are without power and internet access. As such, ample time will be given to complete all assignments for eLearning Days. Please understand we have identified Monday, September 30 as an eLearning Day to allow for flexibility in making up the missed day of school.
Due to power outages and damages, Anderson School District One will have an eLearning Day on Monday, September 30. If you do not have access to power or internet, do not worry. Students have 5 days to complete eLearning work. Stay safe, everyone!

Due to the anticipated weather impact from Hurricane Helene, Anderson School District One will have an eLearning Day on Friday, September 27.

Anderson School District One is continuing to monitor the weather forecast for Thursday evening and Friday morning. We are in communication with Anderson County Emergency Management and The National Weather Service. We are also in communication with the other districts in Anderson County, and as we gather more information, we will make an announcement regarding any changes to the schedule this week.

Join me in congratulating the following students on their successful audition for the Anderson All-County Orchestra. These students auditioned last night along with orchestra students from all over Anderson County. They will take part in a clinic day and performance at Powdersville High School on October 24th. Congrats to these students on their hard work!

Please note the change for our Graduation Date!
