
Per South Carolina legislation, cell phones are prohibited in the classroom, effective immediately. Students should enter the classroom with cell phones silenced/turned off and should be stowed in backpacks. Students, therefore, are also not allowed to wear airpods/earbuds/headphones in the classroom. Should parents need to contact students, please call the front office at (864) 850-5900. Failure to comply with this legislation will result in an automatic referral and consequences will be determined by the administrative team.

Student Nutrition Services Payment Center Update! This new payment system, LINQ Connect, is now live. All balances and payments from the K-12 program will be saved and transferred to the new online payment center, LINQ Connect. Users must create a new account with a personal email and new password. There is no cost to create an account-only a fee per paid transaction. LINQ has an app that parents can download from Google Play or the Apple Store. Parents can contact the Student Nutrition Helpline at 864-847-7344 x 22144 Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make this transition.


Auburn Bailey, Wren: Bailey, a sophomore, performed at point flyer for the Golden Hurricanes, who finished fourth in the Class AAA state meet. She was selected as Wren’s Most Valuable Teammate.
Izzy Hogg, Wren: Hogg, an eighth grader, performed as a backstop. A former team Rookie of the Year, was selected the team’s best dancer and best jumps and received the Choreographers Choice Award.

Foods 2 students at Wren High School recently completed training and earned their ServSafe Food Handlers Certification from the National Restaurant Association. Please join us as we congratulations to these students!


The Anderson One Nutrition Service Department is excited to announce the launch of the new My School Menus app! The My School Menus app allows parents and students to access breakfast and lunch menus for all district kitchens. Just simply download the app from the app store, search for Anderson School District One, select your student’s school, and then select the menu you would like to view. You may also view My School Menus online.
By using the app you can view all nutritional information for each menu item or the entire menu for the day. You can also use the Build A Meal feature to select individual items from the menu and the nutritional information for your selection. By using the app you can filter allergens, carbs, protein, calories, and much more.
As a department, we feel that it is very important for parents to have the most up-to-date information at their fingertips when it comes to their child's nutrition. The app is convenient for all parents to track their child’s nutritional needs. With the ever-changing supply delays causing menu changes it is important to us to establish a direct line of communication with families to keep them informed of last-minute changes. On the administrative side of the app, the food service department is able to plan menus to ensure that all state and federal regulations are met.

If you see the following students, be sure to offer them a HUGE congratulations for being selected to participate in the Anderson All-County Orchestra. They auditioned on Tuesday along with orchestra students from all over Anderson County. We are so excited to have them represent Wren! These students will participate in an all-day event on October 20th and perform the music they have worked on that evening.


Every Friday, we wear Wren gear to show support for our football program. Let’s go Wren!!!!


We will be having our annual Freshman Academy Yard Sale to raise funds for field trips and supplies on Saturday, October 14, from 8am-12:00. Start cleaning out that basement, attic, garage, etc. (I gave you plenty of notice ☺). You can rent spaces for $10 and sell your own items or you can drop off donations to the Freshman Academy office in October. Also, please feel free to share this information to family and friends. Anyone interested in renting a space, please email me (simpsonp@apps.anderson1.org). Thank you for your support of the Freshman Academy.
