Anderson School District One - A Tradition of Excellence

The Defense Department celebrates military children during the month of April. There are more than 1.6 million military children who face many challenges and unique experiences as a result of their parents' service. Last Friday, Spearman Elementary recognized these children by wearing purple*. Children whose parents currently and formerly served in all branches of the military were given a certificate and t-shirt. Faculty members whose parents also served were also given shirts, including Principal Jason Lesley.

Art Teacher at Spearman Elementary School, Betsy Lanford, shared her art students' self-portraits with our district office this week. We are very proud to display their talented works.

Our talented elementary school strings students presented an outstanding concert on Tuesday, April 23 at Palmetto Middle School. The schools represented were: Cedar Grove Elementary School, Hunt Meadows Elementary School, Palmetto Elementary School, Powdersville Elementary School, Spearman Elementary School, West Pelzer Elementary School and Wren Elementary School.

Today is National Administrative Professionals Day. Anderson School District One is blessed to have the best of the best representing our district. Many times, these invaluable workers are the first point of contact for our school visitors and the face of the school. The professionalism they exude, the attention to detail, and the support they provide to our faculty, staff, and students is beyond amazing. They are appreciated every day but today, we especially want to recognize them for a JOB WELL DONE!

Veteran's Strong Event A special event at the Anderson VA clinic is dedicated to supporting local Veterans. This event aims to introduce Veterans to unique opportunities, services, and areas of support available to them.

Student Nutrition Services Payment Center Update This new payment system, LINQ Connect, is now live. All balances and payments from the K-12 program will be saved and transferred to the new online payment center, LINQ Connect. Users must create a new account with a personal email and new password. There is no cost to create an account-only a fee per paid transaction. LINQ has an app that parents can download from Google Play or the Apple Store.
